toward an architecture of presence

Studio LK is devoted to the belief that the architecture of a home can steward presence
that space, material, and light can offer stillness and permanence in a world that feels increasingly turbulent and transient.

Each commission is a pursuit of the elemental, eliminating complexity and redundancy. Materials are chosen for their integrity and their ability to age with grace: stone, plaster, wood, and metal. Light is treated as a material in its own right, shaping atmosphere as profoundly as structure. A soft shadow on a wall, the warmth of timber in winter light—these are the quiet conditions that define how a space is felt.

The plan, as a classical framework of composition, remains the foundation. Timeless principles of order, balance, and proportion inform the work, yet the expression is distinctly contemporary.

These homes are not designed to impress, but to anchor—places of enduring simplicity, craftsmanship, and truth.
